SCR has it's own version of the,
"Little Dutch Boy".
Tom Marlett, Facilities Manager/Supervisor and our CEO, Lynne Oehlke donned their fins, mask and snorkel to come to the rescue when the vintage water tank sprang a leak.

As the story goes the Little Dutch Boy saw the leak and put his finger in the hole to stem the flow of water. Of course he couldn't leave because if he did the small trickle would soon become a stream and the stream a torrent and the torrent a sweeping flood. The lesson: if we act quickly, a disaster can be averted.
This unforeseen emergency presents us with a challenge and an opportunity. The challenge is to fund the tank repairs and replace the vintage controls on the boiler.

THE COST:
50,000-$70,000
THE OPPORTUNITY:
DONATE YOUR UNWANTED PRECIOUS METALS: PLATINUM, GOLD & SILVER

Old jewelry and coins that you are not using can be put to great use, i.e. old class ring, necklace, watch, coins, etc.
This is a tax deductable gift to SCR. All donations go directly to SCR. We have the opportunity to work directly with a refinery and will receive a very good price for the precious metal.
- Drop your items off with our receptionist, Kathy Wade or call Susan, 414-272-8470, ext. 212 to arrange a drop off time.
- Host a "Precious Metal for Charity" house party, guests bring their items to benefit St. Catherine Residence.
Help Tom get off that ladder!
